Message From the Pastor

Dear Family of Faith,

Praise the Lord! We have entered a brand spanking

New Year! 2011 is in the rear view mirror and we are

charging ahead in 2012. Just about everyone makes

resolutions for the New Year, we all want to set goals,

establish priorities, make plans etc. What are yours? A

Scripture that comes to mind is Phil 3: 13-14

Here we read that the Apostle is not satisfied with just being

saved, but being a child of God. As wonderful and exciting as those

things are Paul does not want to grow complacent , he wants to

experience everything that God has for him in Christ. Paul wants

to grow, he wants to mature in the Grace and Knowledge of Christ.

His attitude of pressing forward should be our attitude as individuals

and as a Church family. 2011 was a great year at Memorial. God moved

and worked in wonderful ways, but we must not be complacent. Many in

our community do not know the Savior. Many are dying in their sins.

In 2012 we as a Church Family will be challenged to reach out to our

community with the Gospel of Christ. Ministry leaders will be challenged

to evaluate their ministries and prioritize their goals to press forward

in Christ Jesus.

Brothers and Sisters, I know you are encouraged as I am of the challenges

that face us in 2012. Let us press forward in Christ!
